A Collaborative Community Garden & Public Park
A Place for People to Grow and Gather


Vision: A unique community effort to save land within a working-class / lower-income neighborhood and transform it into a park and community garden.


Mission: To provide opportunities for gardening and recreation in a neighborhood in need of green space and economic and social rejuvination. To provide a way to preserve land for educational and community-building purposes.

3/10/10 - Myrtle St. Community Avant Garden Meeting
  • Wed. March 10th, 5:30 pm
    Police Station-Community Room, North Ave.

    We will be holding a discussion about the innovative designs that were generated at a Community Design Session last March, led by Mark Krawczyk of Burlington Permaculture. Neighbors and all interested community members are encouraged to attend to discuss designs for this exciting new city-owned community garden space and neighborhood pocket park. Lisa Coven of Burlington Parks & Rec, BACG (Burlington Area Community Gardens) Director, Kel Rossiter, a BACG Board Member for the Myrtle St. site, as well as interested gardeners will be in attendance.
